A starry night, with stars soft and blurred,
I sit on the porch, my thoughts gently stirred,
Eyes fixed on the sky’s endless sprawl,
When, suddenly, a firework blooms
Painting the night, lightning up the darkened rooms.
Laughter echoes from families, warmth fills the night,
Friends gather in circles, sharing sweets with delight.
Children run by, faces bright in the night,
With sparklers in hand and pure joy in their eyes.
Homes are aglow, wrapped in threads of light,
Diya flames flicker, tender and bright,
Warming walls and streets, bringing life to stone,
While laughter mingles in the air, and joy is sown.
Your arms wrap around me, warm and tight,
A comforting embrace beneath Diwali’s light
Home is the warmth that soothes my soul,
And right now, I feel perfectly whole.
My spirit awakens, alive in this light,
Wrapped in the love that feels just right.
This evening leads me to the home I know,
A warm, welcoming place where I’m never alone.
